The Foundations: Nutraceuticals, Healthcare, and B2B eCommerce

Over the years, I have focused on three key areas: Nutraceuticals (through Lighthouse & Velobiotics), Healthcare (through iScript.health), and B2B eCommerce & local manufacturing (through Viwanda.ke). Each of these ventures has allowed me to apply my executive and entrepreneurial team leadership skills, with a primary emphasis on product and new business development, sales team management, marketing, and product management.

 

  1. Nutraceuticals: Lighthouse & Velobiotics

My journey in the nutraceutical sector began with Lighthouse & Velobiotics, a company specializing in the commercialization of a globally patented Probiotics Delivery System. Our unique technology delivers over 1000 times more probiotics to the gut compared to conventional methods, improving overall gut health and wellbeing.

Working with a dedicated team, we successfully launched the Velobiotics brand in partnership with Dischem & Clicks in South Africa and established our eCommerce presence in the US and on Amazon.com. As the exclusive licensee for this innovative technology in South Africa, the United States, the UK, Japan, and Australia, our primary focus is on business and product development, marketing, sales, and global expansion of Velobiotics technology.

  1. Healthcare: iScript.health

iScript.health, a digital health platform, represents my foray into the broader healthcare sector. This innovative platform aims to revolutionize the way patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacies interact, offering a seamless and convenient experience for all stakeholders involved.

By leveraging technology, iScript.health is designed to improve patient outcomes, streamline healthcare processes, and enhance the overall efficiency of the healthcare system. Our team’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement has been instrumental in the platform’s ongoing success.

  1. B2B eCommerce & Local Manufacturing: Viwanda.ke

Recognizing the potential of B2B eCommerce and the importance of local manufacturing, I founded Viwanda.ke, a platform that connects businesses with local manufacturers in Kenya. Viwanda.ke aims to support the growth and development of the Kenyan manufacturing sector by fostering partnerships between local businesses and manufacturers.

Through this venture, I have been able to create new opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Kenya, helping them to access new markets and grow their businesses. Viwanda.ke’s mission is to empower local manufacturers, drive economic growth, and create sustainable employment opportunities for the Kenyan people.

Scaling eCommerce Businesses and Expanding Internationally

One of my core strengths is the ability to scale eCommerce businesses by conceptualizing and implementing innovative ideas for expanding them internationally. This skill has been instrumental in establishing and developing new markets in medical, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, and healthcare businesses.
